Our goal? To let you experience an unforgettable, carefree time in the beautiful Austrian mountains, even (and especially!) if you are here for the first time.
We are Tom, Marjolein, and Yvo, and together we form the beating and welcoming heart of First Mountain. With our personal approach and enthusiasm, we run our accommodation with immense love. We would love to introduce ourselves to you!
TOM - THE MOUNTAINKING
Tom first visited Austria thanks to Marjolein. Although he is athletic, he initially struggled with a severe fear of heights. He will therefore never forget their first snowboarding adventure together. With encouragement from Marjolein, he overcame his fear and now enjoys the mountains to the fullest. By now, Tom is the 'mountain hiking king' of our family.
If you want to head into the mountains, Tom is the right person to ask. He knows the area like the back of his hand and takes great pleasure in mapping out the very best trails and hikes for you. Whether you are looking for a challenging hike to a mountaintop or a relaxed route for the whole family, Tom knows exactly where to go for the most beautiful views and the coziest mountain huts.
MARJOLEIN - ARRANGES IT ALL
Marjolein experienced her first mountain adventure when she was eleven years old, on a winter sports trip to Austria with her father. It was love at first sight: the snow-covered mountains and the fresh air had immediately enchanted her. Skiing and snowboarding have become her great passion, and as a ski and snowboard instructor, she has guided others for years in their first encounter with the snow. It remains her greatest pleasure to share that magical first moment with others.
Marjolein is the one who ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. From a clean room upon arrival to a warm welcome with a smile: she takes care of it. With her personal approach, she is your dedicated point of contact for all your questions. And are there children traveling with you? Marjolein loves organizing something fun especially for the kids, so that they too can have the vacation of a lifetime!
YVO - TRAMPOLINE CHEF
Yvo is 8 years old and the youngest whirlwind on our team. He brings extra cheer to the house! Are you curious to see who can jump the highest on the trampoline, or do you fancy a game of football? Yvo loves to challenge you. He also looks after our two rabbits with great love. Feel free to come help feed and pet him, as Brownie and Weisschen absolutely love it.
